ENCpilot - Precision Navigation Software for Sea Ships and Cruise Liners

ENCpilot is a highly accurate software for ship navigation in centimeter range.

WinProfil  was used to develop ENCpilot. This precision-navigation-software is used for the pilotage of cruising vessels down the Ems river to the North-sea from the shipyard Meyerwerft in Papenburg 50 km upriver. There are balance bridges, locks and movable dams to be solicited for ship-sizes of around 300 m length and 38 m width without a scratch.

ENCpilot acquires the measured data of a number of RTK-GPS-receivers, high precision fibre-optical compass and tilt-meters. These data are displayed together with engine- and weather-data on a screen besides a screen showing the ship in an ENC of the river. These display enable the pilots to run the ship with the necessary precision.

An important feature in the ship/ENC display is the display of the vessel in a predicted position. The time intervall for this mode may be selected.
